*Note: As shown in the pictures, the NL3224AC35-01 model was not manufactured with a touchscreen by default. If your application requires a touchscreen for your display, please look for the part number on the edge of the touch glass or on the ribbon cable coming off of one of the edges. If you cannot identify the touchscreen, just send us some pictures of the front and back of it with a micrometer, measuring tape, ruler or some other measurement device along the side of it and we'll be happy to help track it down.
The NL3224AC35-01 was manufactured by NEC for many years and, towards the latter half of it's production life, it seemed odd to many to see such a small (5.5" display) that was so bulky. It was one of the early displays to use the U-Shaped backlight (a design that many steered clear from in later years as the bends in the CCFL tubes often caused manufacturers failures premature to the 50,000 hour MTBF life expectancy) and had the inverter both built-in and soldered to the rest of the board assembly. Common issues include: Dim Display, Turning Black (either from Inverter Failure or Backlight Failure), Severe Static, and Lines Across the Display

If the glass of the display is not cracked and the unit is in otherwise good physical shape, we often offer an exchange credit when you ship your old display back in the package that your newly purchased display arrived in. This provides you with an opportunity to both reduce your overall purchase cost, mitigate disposal requirements, and help us ensure that we have sufficient stock for your replacement display needs in the future. Of course, there are some practical restraints to this program. Due to the cost of shipping, we can only offer this program to customers within the continental United States (certain exceptions on quantity international purchases may be considered) and for product that is determined to have an adequate demand relative to current supply.
